Probably everyone will agree that the extraneous noises that are present in the house are quite annoying and do not allow you to concentrate or just relax. Therefore, there is a need to carry out soundproofing work , using high-quality materials.

Getting Started

The first step is to remove all defects on the walls and floor and hide any openings, such as sockets, switches, joints, and others. This is due to the fact that, first of all, the noise penetrates through them. If these holes are closed, then the extraneous noise coming from the neighbors will bother you less. This is a fairly simple process, but still, certain criteria will have to be met.

For example, it is worth remembering that the presented material can only be mounted to profiles, while providing emphasis on the ceiling or floor using special rubber linings. Thanks to this, you can achieve excellent sound insulation. Experts recommend hammering mineral wool into the inside of the profile to form a so-called pillow that will dampen sounds.

Carrying out soundproofing of the ceiling

To carry out this work, it is necessary to use high-quality drywall, and make sure that it does not have a rigid attachment to the base of the ceiling. Also, it will be necessary to strengthen the walls with the help of corners with shelves. Next, you need to fasten the beams to the corners, not forgetting to use a rubber lining. When this process is completed, it is necessary to attach profiles for the ceiling on top of the wooden beams, and then mount drywall on them. After you are done installing each section, you need to place mineral wool in it so that there are no voids.

Soundproof floor finish

In order for the floor not to let in extraneous sounds, it is necessary to use a floating screed and mineral wool. Before starting work, it is necessary to clean the floor and level it. Soundproofing material should be placed along the perimeter of the walls. After that, you can start laying the material with the help of self-tapping screws. Remember that the first layer should be 2 cm thick. Follow all the rules clearly, and then you can be sure that you will do this type of work with high quality.
